BANGKOK (Worthy News)-- Police in Thailand have arrested more than 400 Pakistani Christian refugees, according to CBN News.

Many of the Christians had been accused of blasphemy; thinking that Thailand would provide sanctuary after escaping religious persecution in Pakistan, they sought refugee status from the Thai government, which instead classified them as illegal immigrants slated for deportation.

Some of the Christians are converts from Islam; since arriving in Thailand, they have depended on churches for food and housing.
