(Worthy News) - Two Nigerian pastors have been abducted this month in Kogi state, Nigeria.

According to Morning Star News, last week gunmen abducted Pastor David Onubedo of the Deeper Life Bible Church in Okene. His captors reportedly want 50 million naira (US$249,000) for Onubedo's release.

Onubedo's church released the following text message urging prayer for the pastor's release.

"Please, begin to pray and send prayer request to others for the release of Pastor Onubedo, a state overseer in Deeper Life Ministry who was reportedly kidnapped at his residence immediately after the Bible Study tonight [Monday]. The pastor wants us to immediately enter prayer closets both as individuals, families and in groups for his immediate and safe release."

Earlier this month in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi, masked gunmen had kidnapped Pastor Ayo Raphael during a worship service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Coincidentally, the kidnappers are also demanding 50 million naira (US$249,000) for Raphael's release.
