(Worthy News) - An Iranian court has again refused a Christian prisoner an extension of her medical leave despite a doctor's advice that the treatments be continued.

According to Barnabas Aid, Maryam Naghash Zargaran went on a hunger strike for eleven days to persuade prison authorities to grant her medical leave for her heart condition. Leave was granted on June 6, but Zargaran was forced to return to prison 21 days later.

An Iranian Christian convert from Islam, Zargaran was arrested in 2013 and sentenced to four years in in Iran's notorious Evin prison for "propagating against the Islamic regime and colluding to undermine national security."
