TEHRAN (Worthy News)-- Pastor Ebrahim Hossin-Zadeh was arrested last month in Shiraz, Iran, by officers from the Ministry of Information, according to Barnabas Aid.

Following his arrest, Hossin-Zadeh was interrogated and transferred to a detention center called "Block 100," but his family has had no contact with him since November 20, a tactic often used by Iranian officials to deter prisoner's relatives from contacting foreign news media.

Hossin-Zadeh converted to Christianity from Islam in 2009; his arrest was the latest in a history of harassment against house churches in Shiraz.

Nationwide, the Iranian government has closed hundreds of house churches in an attempt to curb the spread of Christianity.
