(Worthy News) - More than 15 Hindus surrounded a handful of Christians from the Rehoboth Prayer House as they handed out Bibles in Hyderabad, India, during Christmas week.

According to International Christian Concern, the Hindus shouted anti-Christian slogans as they grabbed the Bibles, gathered them all together and then lit the pile on fire. The Hindus continued to verbally harass the Christians, but then began beating them. After the assault, the Hindus broke into a van used by the Christians, unloaded the Christian literature inside and then burned it all in the street.

"This is [a] terrible thing that happened to Christians who preach and practice non-violence," said Pastor Jeyaraj. "Especially during this season as Christians share their joy to others irrespective of religious affiliations."
