(Worthy News) - Four Christian Bible translators were killed when Muslim gunmen raided the Wycliffe Associates office in the Middle East last week.

According to Barnabas Aid, the gunmen first sprayed the office with bullets, killing two of the translators outright while injuring several others. And after when they ran out of ammo, the gunmen bludgeoned to death two translators who were protecting their lead translator, thereby saving his life.

Although the gunmen burned all the translation materials and damaged the office equipment, they neglected to destroy the computer hard drives that contained translations for eight different language projects.

The surviving translators have decided to re-double their efforts to translate and publish the Gospel in those eight languages.
